Just Drink Here is an iPhone app that randomly suggests nearby pubs, bars, breweries and other eligible locations. This policy describes the app's handling of information. It is based on the app version prepared for its initial release; it will be updated if data practices change.
1. Information used by the app
Location: With your permission, the app uses your location while you use it to search for nearby venues, calculate walking routes and display map results. You can decline location access and select a starting point manually.
Saved settings: The app stores preferences such as the selected walking-time limit and, if you choose a manual starting point, its location details on your device.
Saved groups: If you use the group-invitation feature, the names, phone numbers and group names you enter are stored locally on your device. The developer does not operate an account service or server for these groups.
2. Maps and other third-party services
The app uses Apple's MapKit, location, search, geocoding and directions services. Requests for map, venue and route information may be processed by Apple in accordance with its own privacy practices. See Apple's Privacy Policy ↗.
The app can open venue websites or launch phone calls. When you choose to do this, the destination website or phone service may handle information under its own policies.
3. Sharing and invitations
Just Drink Here prepares messages containing details about a selected venue, such as its name, address and map link. It does not include your chosen starting point in the prepared invitation. The app does not send messages automatically. You must confirm sending through Messages or another app you select. Those services handle information under their own policies.
4. Advertising and analytics
The initial version reviewed for this policy contains reserved screen space for possible future advertising, but does not include an advertising SDK or serve ads. It does not include a developer-operated analytics service or user account system. This policy will be updated before introducing features that change these practices.
5. Retention and your choices
You can change or revoke location permission in iPhone Settings. You can edit or delete saved groups inside the app. Locally saved app settings and group information remain on the device until changed or removed, subject to device backup and operating-system behaviour. Removing the app removes its local app data from the device.
6. Website data
This informational website does not require an account and does not contain an analytics or advertising script. Its hosting provider may process basic technical information, such as IP addresses and request logs, needed to deliver the pages and protect the service.
7. Children and alcohol-related venues
Just Drink Here is not intended for children. It provides information about licensed venues but does not sell or deliver alcoholic beverages. Visitors are responsible for following applicable age restrictions and local laws.
8. Changes to this policy
If the app's features or data practices change, this privacy policy may be revised. Any updates will be posted on this page with an updated date.
