How does Just Drink Here pick a place?
The app searches for eligible nearby venues around your chosen starting point and randomly picks one that meets its walking-time and supported-region criteria. Reviews, ratings and rankings don't determine the selection.
Can I choose a different starting point?
Yes. You can use your current location or choose a location manually on the map. Location permission is optional if you select a starting point yourself.
Where is the app available?
Just Drink Here currently supports British Columbia, Canada. Other regions may be added in later versions.
Why can't I find a place nearby?
There may be no eligible venue within your chosen walking-time limit, or the area may not be supported. Try a different starting point or increase the walking-time limit.
How do invitations and saved groups work?
You can share a selected venue using the iPhone share sheet. You can also save friends' names and phone numbers in groups on your device and prepare a text invitation. You decide whether to send it. The app doesn't send messages automatically.
Does the app sell alcohol or take payments?
No. Just Drink Here recommends places and offers directions; it does not sell alcohol or process venue reservations or purchases.
Can I remove saved group information?
Yes. Saved groups can be edited or deleted in the app's group settings. Uninstalling the app removes its locally stored data, subject to the device's normal backup behaviour.
